Andy Borowitz co-created the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then built a second career as a satirist with The Borowitz Report, a column of deadpan fake news that ran for years ahead of the genre's later boom. He became a New York Times bestselling author and won the National Press Club's first-ever award for humor, translating a sitcom writer's timing into a distinct voice in political satire.
