Anthony Horowitz created the Alex Rider series, following a teenage MI6 spy, which has sold tens of millions of copies and defined a generation's introduction to spy fiction. The Ian Fleming estate later chose him to write new James Bond novels using unpublished Fleming material, and he created the long-running ITV series Foyle's War as well as writing extensively for Agatha Christie's Poirot.
