An American actress and filmmaker who co-wrote, produced and starred in How to Blow Up a Pipeline, the 2023 ecological thriller adapted from Andreas Malm's nonfiction book, which premiered in competition at the Toronto International Film Festival. On television she played Gert Yorkes in Marvel's Runaways and joined the cast of HBO's The Last of Us as Mel, building a career that moves between studio franchise work and the kind of activist filmmaking she wrote for herself.
