Arleen Sorkin

An actress whose most consequential role was one played entirely through her voice: she originated and voiced Harley Quinn for Batman: The Animated Series, a character her friend Paul Dini created with her performance as the inspiration, and who went on to become one of DC Comics' most enduring villains. On screen, she was known for playing Calliope Jones on the daytime serial Days of Our Lives.
