Co-founder of The Home Depot, which he built with Bernie Marcus into the retailer that reshaped how Americans buy building supplies by combining warehouse-scale inventory with hands-on customer service. After leaving the company he became a sports owner, buying the Atlanta Falcons and later founding Atlanta United FC, which won the 2018 MLS Cup in just its second season, one of the fastest expansion-to-championship runs in American professional soccer.
