Released his debut album, No Jew Will Be Left Behind, in 1981 at the encouragement of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, and went on to record more than 50 albums over four decades, becoming one of the defining voices of contemporary Orthodox Jewish pop music. Working repeatedly with composer Yossi Green, he helped bring pop, rock, and jazz production into a genre still rooted in cantorial and Yiddish song, and he remains a fixture of Jewish charity concerts including the Hebrew Academy for Special Children's annual benefit.
