Ben Hoffman

An American comedian, musician and writer who performs as the country alter ego Wheeler Walker Jr., whose 2016 debut album Redneck Shit reached number nine on Billboard's Hot Country Albums chart and topped its comedy albums chart simultaneously — the first release to manage both in over a decade, achieved with essentially no radio airplay. Hoffman has framed the deliberately raunchy persona as pushback against what he sees as an increasingly homogenized, commercially cautious country music industry.
