Ben Platt originated the title role in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, winning the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical at 23 — making him the youngest solo winner at the time — along with a Daytime Emmy and a Grammy, and later reprised the role in the 2021 film adaptation. He earned a further Tony nomination playing Leo Frank in a 2023 revival of Parade, and built a parallel recording career with albums including Sing to Me Instead and Honeymind.
