Einstein created and performed Super Dave Osborne, a deadpan stuntman whose elaborate escapes always ended in catastrophe, a character that won him a CableACE Award across two decades of appearances. He also built a substantial career as a writer, winning two Emmys for comedy variety shows including The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, before returning to acting in his sixties as Marty Funkhouser on Curb Your Enthusiasm and Larry Middleman on Arrested Development.
