Bruce Joel Rubin

Bruce Joel Rubin wrote Ghost (1990), the highest-grossing film of its year and a Best Picture nominee, and won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for it. His other scripts, including Jacob's Ladder and My Life, return again and again to questions of life, death and the metaphysical — work he has carried alongside a parallel career as a meditation teacher and photographer.
