Buddy Hackett built a comedy career on raunchy material and a thick New York accent, memorable as Marcellus Washburn in The Music Man (1962) and Tennessee Steinmetz in The Love Bug (1968), and as the voice of Scuttle in Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989). He was also a frequent guest on The Tonight Show and other variety programs across decades.
