Cameron Boyce spent his teenage years as one of Disney Channel's most visible young actors, starring as Luke Ross on Jessie and as Carlos in the Descendants film franchise, and voicing the title role in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He died in 2019, at 20, from a seizure related to epilepsy, weeks before Descendants 3 premiered; the film was dedicated to him, and further work — the film Runt and the television series Paradise City — was released posthumously.
