Catherine Oxenberg starred as Amanda Carrington on Dynasty from 1984 to 1986, winning two Soap Opera Digest Awards, and twice played Diana, Princess of Wales, on screen. After her daughter India was drawn into the NXIVM organization, Oxenberg became a public advocate against the group, publishing the 2018 memoir Captive: A Mother's Crusade to Save Her Daughter from a Terrifying Cult and producing a Lifetime documentary about the effort, work later chronicled in HBO's The Vow and Starz's Seduced.
