Charlotte Nichols has represented Warrington North in the House of Commons since 2019, after years organizing on behalf of warehouse and retail workers for USDAW and the GMB union, where she pushed for better pay and conditions at Amazon and Asda. She served as Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities in 2020-21 and now chairs the Centre for Evidence Based Drug Policy. She converted to Judaism in 2014, marking the occasion with a bat mitzvah at 27, and has since faced antisemitic abuse online, named among Parliament's most harassed backbenchers in a 2022 BBC investigation.
