Dan Trachtenberg made his feature debut with 10 Cloverfield Lane, earning a Directors Guild nomination, then took on a franchise many had written off: his film Prey reimagined the Predator series from the perspective of a Comanche hunter in the 1700s, followed by two more entries he directed and wrote the story for. He also directed the pilot of The Boys, setting the visual template for the show's satirical superhero violence.
