Arquette has played Dewey Riley in the Scream franchise across six films spanning nearly thirty years, from his 1996 breakout to the 2026 installment, a rare feat of sustained casting in a genre that usually recasts. Beyond Scream, he starred in Ready to Rumble, Eight Legged Freaks and the acclaimed Western Bone Tomahawk, directed his first feature in 2006, and later returned to acting in Bone Tomahawk and The Good Half. He also had a parallel career as a professional wrestler.
