A defining voice of Gen X sketch comedy: Cross co-created HBO's Mr. Show with Bob and David, a cult favorite for its writing rather than its ratings, and won an Emmy for his scripts on The Ben Stiller Show. He later found a wider audience as the deadpan, cutoff-shorts-wearing Tobias Fünke on Arrested Development, and has built a long parallel career in voice work, including the Kung Fu Panda films and Curious George.
