Directed The Devil Wears Prada (2006), turning a satire of magazine-industry ambition into a box-office hit anchored by Meryl Streep's performance as an imperious editor, and returned to the material two decades later with a 2026 sequel. In between he directed Marley & Me, Hope Springs and Jerry & Marge Go Large, along with prestige television work including episodes of Band of Brothers and the pilot of Manifest, building a career on handling star-driven, emotionally direct material without tipping into sentimentality.
