David Lang

A composer who co-founded Bang on a Can, a collective built to break down the wall between classical composition and popular and experimental music, and won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Music for The Little Match Girl Passion, a piece later recorded to a Grammy win by Theatre of Voices. He also earned an Academy Award nomination for "Simple Song #3" from the film Youth.
