Denis Norden

A British comedy writer who, with Frank Muir, co-wrote the BBC radio programme Take It from Here for over a decade, helping establish the format of scripted sketch comedy that later British sitcoms and panel shows would build on. The pair remained a fixture of British broadcasting together for more than fifty years on radio panel shows, and Norden went on to host his own television programmes, including the long-running blooper compilation It'll Be Alright on the Night.
