Diane Warren has written nine number-one Billboard Hot 100 hits and 33 top-ten songs for artists as different as Cher, Aerosmith, and Celine Dion, without ever performing them herself. She holds the record for the most Academy Award nominations for a songwriter without a competitive win -- seventeen -- and was given an honorary Oscar in 2022 in recognition of it. Her publishing company, Realsongs, lets her keep the masters to everything she's written.
