Erin Foster began as an actress before moving behind the camera, co-creating the VH1 mockumentary Barely Famous with her sister Sara and later co-heading creative development at the dating app Bumble. In 2024 she created and wrote Netflix's Nobody Wants This, a romantic comedy drawn from her own path to converting to Judaism ahead of marrying music executive Simon Tikhman; the show became one of the platform's biggest hits, earning a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score and a swift season-two renewal. Foster, previously agnostic, converted to Reform Judaism in 2019.
