A character actress whose voice became more recognizable than most leading ladies': as Estelle Costanza, George's exasperated mother on Seinfeld, she turned a handful of scenes per episode into some of the show's most quoted moments, and as the shrill-voiced Mrs. Potato Head across the Toy Story films she reached an even wider, younger audience. She worked steadily in television and voice roles into her nineties, including parts in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Tarzan II.
