Harry Primrose, 6th Earl of Rosebery

A British Liberal politician who sat as MP for Midlothian from 1906 to 1910, styled Lord Dalmeny until he inherited the earldom of Rosebery in 1929 and moved to the House of Lords. His long parliamentary career culminated late: in 1945 he briefly served as Secretary of State for Scotland, capping four decades in public life that had begun before the First World War.
