Harry Shearer co-wrote and co-starred in This Is Spinal Tap, the mockumentary that invented a genre and still gets quoted for turning amps up to eleven. He has voiced a startling share of Springfield since 1989 -- Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner, and Reverend Lovejoy among them -- while hosting the public radio program Le Show continuously since 1983, one of the longest-running satirical radio shows in the country. He also did two separate stints on Saturday Night Live, in 1979-80 and again in 1984-85.
