Irving Caesar wrote lyrics for some of Tin Pan Alley's most enduring songs, including 'Swanee' and 'Tea for Two' — the latter one of the most frequently recorded tunes ever written — alongside 'Sometimes I'm Happy' and 'Crazy Rhythm.' Born Isidor Keiser, he built a decades-long career in the American musical-theater songbook and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972.
