Jack Lawrence

Born Jacob Louis Schwartz, Lawrence wrote lyrics for some of the American songbook's most durable standards, work recognized with his 1975 induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His songs became hits across genres and decades, the kind of career measured less by any single song than by how many performers kept returning to his catalogue.
