Jack Rosenthal

An English playwright who wrote 129 early episodes of Coronation Street, helping shape the soap opera into the institution it became, before moving on to write more than 150 further screenplays across original television plays, feature films and adaptations. His prolific output made him one of British television's most reliable and versatile dramatists of the postwar decades.
