James Remar has spent four decades playing men on the wrong side of a line, from the razor-wielding Ajax in The Warriors to the gangster Dutch Schultz in The Cotton Club and Albert Ganz opposite Eddie Murphy in 48 Hrs. He found a second career on television as Harry Morgan, the adoptive father who trained the title character in Dexter, and later played real figures including Secretary of War Henry Stimson in Oppenheimer.
