Jay Livingston

Half of one of Hollywood's most productive songwriting partnerships, pairing his melodies with Ray Evans's lyrics across decades of film scores and standards. Working under the name Jay Livingston rather than his birth name Jacob Levison, he helped define the sound of the era's soundtracks, writing music that outlasted most of the films it was written for.
