Bergman was the first performer entrusted with voicing Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck after Mel Blanc's death in 1989, taking on characters that had been inseparable from a single voice for half a century. He went on to share those roles with a small rotating group of successors across Warner Bros. Animation productions, while also voicing characters for Hanna-Barbera, carrying some of American animation's most recognizable voices into a new generation.
