John Magaro has built a career of quiet, versatile supporting work across prestige film — The Big Short, Carol, First Cow, and Past Lives among them — and television, including a long run on Orange Is the New Black. He made his Broadway debut in 2016, playing the escaped convict Earl Williams in a revival of The Front Page.
