Jon Lovett wrote speeches for Barack Obama and for Hillary Clinton during her Senate and first presidential campaigns before leaving politics for media, co-founding Crooked Media with fellow former Obama staffers Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor. Their podcast Pod Save America turned campaign-trail insiders into some of the most listened-to political commentators outside cable news; he also co-created the NBC sitcom 1600 Penn and competed on Survivor in 2024.
