Jorge Drexler

Jorge Drexler trained and practiced as a medical doctor before building a career as a musician, and in 2005 became the first Uruguayan to win an Academy Award, taking Best Original Song for "Al Otro Lado del Río" from The Motorcycle Diaries — the first Spanish-language song ever to win the award.
