Gad originated the role of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, earning a Tony nomination and a Grammy for the cast recording, before reaching a far larger audience voicing Olaf, the naively cheerful snowman in Disney's Frozen films, which won him two Annie Awards. He has continued to move between stage-honed comic voice work and live-action roles, including Chuck in The Angry Birds Movie series.
