A writer and showrunner on The Simpsons during its mid-1990s run with Bill Oakley, credited on episodes including "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" and "Homer's Enemy" and winning three Primetime Emmys as the pair ran the show's seventh and eighth seasons. The two had been unemployed writing partners before a Seinfeld spec script led to their break; they later created Mission Hill together.
