Judd Apatow reshaped American film comedy through Apatow Productions, writing, directing, or producing a run of hits from The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up to Bridesmaids, Superbad, and The Big Sick, while giving early television homes to Freaks and Geeks and, later, Girls and Love. His work has drawn eleven Primetime Emmy nominations, three of them wins, alongside Writers Guild, Producers Guild, and Grammy recognition.
