Judd Winick turned a stint on MTV's The Real World into a comics career, writing Pedro and Me, an autobiographical graphic novel about his friendship with castmate and AIDS educator Pedro Zamora, who died during the show's run. He went on to long runs writing DC's Green Lantern and Green Arrow, wrote the Batman storyline that resurrected the murdered second Robin as the vigilante Red Hood, and since 2015 has written and drawn Hilo, a New York Times bestselling graphic novel series.
