PO1 Chad J. Mcneeley, USN · Public domain

Conducted more than 50,000 interviews across a broadcasting career that ran from a Miami radio show in the 1950s to Larry King Live, his nightly CNN program from 1985 to 2010 that made him the default venue for newsmakers explaining themselves to America. Born Lawrence Zeiger in Brooklyn to Jewish immigrants from Belarus, he built a loose, unscripted interview style that outlasted three decades of changing television fashions, and kept working into his eighties, hosting web-based interview shows on Hulu and Ora TV after leaving CNN.
