Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo built the Grishaverse across the Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Six of Crows duology, one of young-adult fiction's most widely adapted worlds, reaching Netflix as a television series with Bardugo herself serving as executive producer. Her adult debut, Ninth House, a darker novel set among Yale's secret societies, drew equally serious critical acclaim and is being adapted separately by Amazon Studios, with Bardugo again producing. The pivot from YA phenomenon to adult horror-fantasy without losing her audience is itself a rare feat in publishing.
