Marge Piercy

A novelist and poet whose work fused her Jewish heritage with feminist and Marxist politics, most notably in the speculative novel Woman on the Edge of Time and in He, She and It, winner of the 1993 Arthur C. Clarke Award. Gone to Soldiers, her sweeping World War II novel, became a New York Times bestseller and remains a widely taught example of historical fiction built from multiple intersecting perspectives.
