British journalist
b. 1951age 75Living
A British columnist who began at The Guardian and New Statesman before shifting toward the socially conservative Zionist commentary now published in The Times and The Jerusalem Post, work for which she won the 1996 Orwell Prize. Critics have linked some of her writing to the Eurabia conspiracy theory and to far-right politics, characterizations she disputes, describing herself instead as consistent in defending what she calls truth and the vulnerable.
