Michael Schur has created or co-created four significant American sitcoms -- Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, and Rutherford Falls -- after cutting his teeth writing for Saturday Night Live and The Office, where he also played Mose Schrute. His shows share a recognizable style: large, diverse casts and characters who find real warmth and friendship, an approach that has earned him three Emmy wins across three decades of work and a 2025 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
