Mike Binder

Mike Binder launched two careers within days of each other in 1990 — his debut screenplay, Coupe de Ville, and an HBO stand-up special — and has spent the decades since moving between directing, writing, and performing. His films include The Upside of Anger (2005) and Reign Over Me (2007), which cast Adam Sandler against type as a man unraveling after a personal tragedy; he also created and starred in HBO's The Mind of the Married Man. More recently he directed Bill Burr's Netflix special Paper Tiger and the documentary The Comedy Store.
