Mikey Madison spent nearly a decade in small parts — a sullen teenager on Better Things, a Manson-family member in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a scream queen in the 2022 Scream reboot — before Sean Baker cast her as the lead of Anora (2024), a Brooklyn sex worker who marries a Russian oligarch's son on impulse. The performance won her the Academy Award and BAFTA for Best Actress.
