Molly Jong-Fast, granddaughter of novelist Howard Fast and daughter of Erica Jong, built her own public voice after the 2016 election, becoming an MSNBC political analyst and a regular contributor to The Atlantic and Vanity Fair. Her 2025 memoir, How to Lose Your Mother, became a New York Times bestseller within three weeks, following two novels and two earlier memoirs, including one that wrote candidly about her recovery from addiction.
