A comedian nicknamed "The Master of Malaprop" for a stand-up act built entirely on deliberately mangled vocabulary, substituting near-miss words for comic effect. He co-hosted the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon for nearly three decades, from 1983 to 2010, and was a fixture of game shows including Hollywood Squares, later appearing in Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights and Grown Ups 2. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
