Norman Maurer

An American comic book artist and writer who moved into directing and producing film and television, best known for his long professional and personal association with The Three Stooges beginning in the late 1940s. He married into the Stooges' circle — his father-in-law was Moe Howard — and used that relationship to shepherd the act's later films and television projects. His dual career bridging comics and comedy filmmaking made him an unusually versatile figure in mid-century American entertainment.
