Philip G. Epstein

Co-wrote the screenplay for Casablanca with his twin brother Julius and Howard Koch, turning an unproduced play into one of the most quoted scripts in American film and winning an Academy Award for it. He died young, in 1952, with that single credit already enough to secure his place in Hollywood history.
