A New York drummer who became Sonic Youth's original percussionist in 1981 before moving full-time into Konk and, in parallel, into acting: he played Eddie in Jim Jarmusch's Stranger Than Paradise (1984) and the deadpan parking-garage attendant who takes Ferris Bueller's father's car for a joyride in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). Over four decades he has logged more than 35 film credits, including Platoon, Good Morning, Vietnam, and Do the Right Thing.
